yes, so many of them in the past year or so. it's become an epidemic. the crime has escalated pretty badly here in milwaukee also. the middle class is becoming the poverty class and there is much hate and tension.
maybe we should concentrate on the terror we commit on each other.
i don't know....i just wish more people would recognize the value of peace.
those poor poor kids and their families.

gah... we were discussing this in my last class two hours ago. I still don't know many details... The teacher made a point about social hypocrisy; we always hear messages like "violence is not an answer" and yet our governments continue to wage war for obscure reasons.
But school shootings... why? It may be also an issue of imitation. Not a very friendly trend. The Dawson shooting this January, was not very far away from where I live. I feel helpless.

i've been unhappy, and thought of killing myself, but never in my greatest woe have i considered killing another...
i am reminded of the Simone dBeauvois (sp?) quote someone recently added to the "suicide_quotations" blathe...
in addition to the tragedy of these murders, it is tragic what must have happened in that poor murderer's heart, to lead him so wretchedly astray
