I imagine I'll have a lot to say here, in time.
This may never be interesting. Feel free not to read it.
Last week I was talking to Tara about the dishes. I mentioned about how there often seemed to be dirty dishes in the dish drainer. She says "yeah, I clean my dishes before I put them in there. it must be jenna." Based on other evidence, I was inclined to agree.
Today I'm sitting in the kitchen while Jenna is cleaning, and she's taking things out of the dish drainer and says "I never know whether these are clean or dirty." "I only put clean things in there, but I've noticed dirty things sometimes.", say I. Says she, "It must be Tara". And some other pitter patter.
Will we ever know who it is? These and other mysteries....

if you're around enough, and you're ninja enough, by noting the state of dishes in the drainer (how many of what kind, when dirty ones show up), you might be able to note who leaves dirty ones in the drainer, and say, "hey, wash this shit better, wouldja?"

As long as there aren't... giant pieces of food stuck to the plate, our dishwasher pretty much removes whatever is on there, and we don't have to do much washing of the dishes before we wash the dishes.
sometimes there will be a couple dishes in the sink, as they lazily were not put in the dishwasher.
i have no problem with this. but Alli does. She gets ANGRY when people do it.
and that makes it hard to live, sometimes, when someone gets angry at something that doesn't bother you... and then you wonder what else she would get angry at and constantly live in fear

i am neither around very much, or have a good enough memory [cough...].
we had some quality time this weekend. It makes me extremely happy. Last time I was this happy was when everyone was friends in my co-op.

I was friends with these three guys. Avid fast food eaters, they had a million of these huge plastic pop glasses, dirty, filling the sink. I told them to get rid of them, and have only one cup each. It worked. I did that with my last roommate. We had four place settings, after that we had to start washing!

dishes in the sink (a common thing for people with roomates it seems) but i don't use any of them, lately at least. I've been getting home to late to cook. Yet he bothers me about doing the dishes... ya i could just put them in the washer for him, but i'm not the one that cooks breakfast/lunch/dinner everyday. I hide in my room and you know i want to be alone in there. yet i still here 'knock knock'... wth!? damn... door open? fine, but my door is closed for a reason and you know it. i just like to relax in my silence so let me be.

dishes in the sink...any kitchen job...those are my jobs. because of the unusual amount of guests we seem to attract, i am washing dishes an average of four times a day. nobody else's job is this demanding.
as for my actual roommate...
where do i begin? with how lucky i am that i was matched up with my now best friend. especially because our suitemates are insane. worldwarthree is going on in the other room & winter wants to spoon...aw

really, what i needed when i was feeling like i loathe most everything, was to have jenna come home and loathe everything as well. that forces me into the position of defendant, because above all else, i am contrary. next thing i know, i'm thinking that the world isn't so bad really. except for running out of lemons. my collection of gifted beer almost makes up for that, though.

i come back from vacation and one of my towels, which was clean, and in the closet, when i left, is full of bleach stains, and in the bathroom, when i come back. i am angry. no one seems to know anything about it.
i'm very short tempered now and i've entertained some very bad ideas. but what is a good idea? someone managed to do it without knowing, aparently. i'd be suprised if either of them lied outright. but, how does that just happen? it looks quite bad. how does that just happen? it's part of a matching set.
material goods are unimportant etc. but what a complete lack of regard! how does something like that happen on accident? we are very conscientious and there is no bleach used for cleaning. so WTF? how does that happen?
i want to strangle someone.

alli went crazy the other day when she walked in and saw the kitchen had some things out of place. my sister was visiting and we hadn't gotten to cleaning it up yet. "I LIVE WITH FUCKING PIGS" she's been quoted as saying.
the other day i found a pizza box with several pieces frozen to the bottom of the garbage can outside. it was from the pizza pit. it was the pizza i had ordered like a month before and woke up the next day to finish it and discovered it was gone. the box was nowhere to be found. i asked alli about it and she denied knowing anything about it, tried to blame the other roommates. but the other roommates were gone. and the only reason i had even seen it was because it was frozen to the bottom of the garbage can.
she had just blatantly lied. about throwing good food away.

this may be getting off of what this page has evolved to but...
I have this room mate. Love him like a brother. However, he nonetheless has some idiosyncrosis that I cannot stand. While this apartment that we share now is about my fifth, it is a relatively new experience for him. Dishes, as we all know, are a point of contention with all roommates. Until the last apartment I lived in, I had never had a dishwasher before. After now having one, I will never understand why anyone lives without one. Yet, my roommate still insists that all his dishes be washed by hand. Now I understand the nice cutlery set with the wooden handles and all of the other nice dishware, but is it really neccessary to hand wash the red plastic cups that I stole from Pizza Hut when I worked there 10 years ago? To ad to that frustration, he rarely washes the damn things. Through some wired obligatory period I have become the king of the dish kingdom. As such I am expected to wash certain things (i.e. all dishes, by hand). Someone please explain this to me.

my former roommate, in a sick, sad and pathetic attempt to get attention from the boy who had dumped her flat on her ass and was now fucking his brother's ex, poured a bunch of what i can only assume (by the smell) to be nail polish remover in her shampoo bottle and then lied and told everyone i did it in a drug induced stupor. Okay, fine, I was on Wellbutrin at the time, and Wellbutrin is known to cause sleep disturbances, but by that the mean insomnia, not walking around in the middle of the night and playing junior chemist.

well cris is moving out today, alex is moving in soon. carolyn will be moving out sept.1, alex will be moving into her room, and someone else will be moving into cris' old room.
meanwhile, elton is moving out of his house, i've taken in dali-dog.
carolyn's puppy (used to be mine, used to be crista's, used to be someone else's before he was out on the street), no one knows what'll happen to him. carolyn wants her dad to take him for a month or two so she can find a place to sneak him in. he's still untrained. she is almost 30 and just realized what kind of responsibility a dog is.
anyway, in a couple months my house will be clean, ordered, etc etc. i just hate being in the middle of this roommate storm.
