i always much preferred the villainess. whether it was the baroness in gi joe, or the babes of hordak (yes i watched she-ra) i mean catra, scorpia, and perfuma were totally hot. and if i'm the only young boy who wondered what was under shadow weavers robes, well all the better, more hot sorceress action for me. spider-man had black cat, pity. daredevil had electra. batman had poison ivy, and i even liked harla quinn in the cartoon series. i always went for the girls who were going to make their own jokes, not sit around like daphne in dirk the daring and pretend that the bumbling act is her salvation, waiting to be rescued or be told when to smile and frown. oh no. i liked the ones where you didn't know after a while just who was the hero and who was the villain. the type who mocked you because they took you seriously. masochism and bravery were blurred lines. and then maybe they really were seeking redemption when they came to you with their flags lowered, or maybe they were just looking for a softer target. oh how i wished i could be in that web.
