it dawned a new day today but something was different i didn't call my friends chat and say hi i didn't see them in passing to wave at or shout out i talked to someone i'd never had before a stranger with a name; his eyes full of smiles. i threw myself into work flipping the endless pages alone and unnoticed just another face a tiny speck on the grass keeping my own thoughts to hoard and pick at discarding memories writing notes recalling certain incidents so as to tell my friends... later. well, so far nothing new... But It Was. Today i didn't mind so much that no one knew my past my story my life that no one knew i loved cats or hated onions and had a penchant for blue eyes instead i looked forward to meeting these people learning their secrets and telling them mine suddenly, the whole world looked brighter Even with the rain. and though its far from perfect happiness i do believe i will survive... |
