why_arent_you_better_known
express_yourself_here Have I just not been discovered or are my thought really not original or real enough? Are your poems really not worthy enough of world wide recognition? I have heard stories and poems on here and have seen long time Blather users and wonder why no one's made it "big". Do you think you have to be born in to money to make your dreams come true? Because I figure wether other people think your worth it or not, if you have the money to inflict your thoughts upon them then it really doesn't matter. How many people here think they should be better known??? 041017

Lila Pause Ha ha! Well unfortunately poetry just isn't as marketable as hip hop or bratz dolls y'know...? Just as well. Can you imagine commercialized poetry?! Love poems for the unromantic...great literature for the highly illiterate...poetry for the modern-day capitalist on the run...poetry endorsed by Madonna! AHHHHHRGGGGGGGGH. But you know, the greatest poet the world has ever known is probably living in a cardboard box in someplace not nearly as wonderful as new york city... But hey, maybe oneday he'll crack the newyorktimes best seller list (if he ever beats the chronic depression) and appear on Oprah as another rags to riches story to inspire disadvantaged Americans to try even harder to "make it"... 041017

srealismatic I got a facebook page but i unfriended everybody because there's a weird stupid tension surrounding "liking" and "silencing" when i just want to share stuff and find people i have common interests. There is little point w defunct friends and inappropriate family so it didn't work for me. I do want to keep it to keep in touch w my mostly crazy Republican legislators though. They post stuff so now i know 'em better. 150709
