I sometimes see one and I want to run up and give them a huge hug of thanks for still being here.
Oddly, most of them seem to be significantly younger than me. Making the hug scenario doubly awkward.
Still, it makes me smile to see them.

I think they turned emo and emo became a meme because of the phonemes (don't actually trust me, I'm too tired to make sense).
But yeah, in my lifetime it seemed more of a late 90s, early 2000s thing.
Sometimes I wear what I call my Victorian Gothic look (covered up, black and white lacy and flowery - this works better in the winter). I'm not one for eyeliner, though, and the music I like mostly wouldn't fit.
Misstree was a goth back in the day, right? (If you're here, would you still say you are?)
