"one more time," she promised herself as she walked through the door. "one more time and i swear i will gather up the courage to tell him how i really feel." she got to the door and knocked, he opened it, and she saw his face. she looked straight into his eyes. they were brown. "no one ever talks about brown eyes," she thought. "they always talk about green eyes and blue eyes, eyes as deep as the ocean. they never talk about the brown eyes that suck you in like shadows." she realized that she had been standing there for quite awhile, staring at his extraordinary common eyes. "what's up?" he asked. and at that moment, she lost herself, and everything that she had ever wanted to say.
