it needs to go a bit further around here as we seem to have had an inordinate amount of rain. .

hmm.. that's true i guess. our "heat wave" is entering its 8th or 9th week... its more for the school than the weather that i want fall... and the weather ... great running weather ... birthday weather ... party weather ... plus all the people to make those good things better ... heh... *is going slightly loopy*

I think i might melt in the coming days as they say it's supposed to heat up to 33 degrees (at this point southerners are going to rib me for wincing at 33 degrees....hot enough for ya.....cant' stand the heat....etc.).

It's been averaging about 39 here, but a couple of weeks ago it didn't seem to want to drop below 45 and i can tell you there are few things that feel much worse than a power failure when it's 46.66... outside and maybe 41 inside and blowing clouds of dust like a great brown tsunami through the city

i hear you Birdmad. i'd make quite the sight if i ever came down around your way. lathered (and i mean lathered) in psf45 sunblock from head (included top of head) to toe. this walking white man might be mistaken for some sort of zombie and then brained. .

one week, during the summer after i turned 18 we hit 118, 119, 120, 122, 119 and 117 (or 47.77, 48.3, 48.88, 50, 48.3 and 47.22 for those who speak centigrade) but thankfully it was right BEFORE the storm season, because i can only imagine how much worse it would have been and how many people might have died if you had added the usual wind-and-lightning-induced power outages to that sort of nastiness
