1/2 empty glass has everything 2 do with perspective Middle English, optical from Medieval Latin, perspectivus aiding the vision [{his eyes were like unto the wrong end of a perspective glass, when answering this blathe}] of, relating to, employing, or seen in perspective [{perspective glass: structures, mass consumption, articulated usage}] first in order to create a hypothesis, one has to gather as much information as possible: + what kind of glass are we referring 2 [art glass, borosilicate glass, cased glass, cheval glass, cocktail glass, cover glass, crown glass, cut glass, depression glass, field glass, flint glass, float glass, glass wool, glass sponge, glass snake] + can we all agree, it is the same kind of glass we are communicating about +what is it being filled with: gases, liquids, solids, theories, dreams, hopes, aspirations, wishes, goals, etc.? Whether the glass is /half full or half empty/ depends upon a plethora of elements & reasoning ] what is your 'perspective' are you a scientist, artist, writer, cook, person on a diet, food service provider, dancer, avant garde filmmaker... ] what is your hypothesis, often times this will skew a scientists results, esp. if a certain grant was obtained & certain expectations needed to be filled in order for annual renewal ] what is your motivation for asking/answering this question Well, if the glass was filled only half way, but done so [upside down]... than what? [would that make it 1/2 full or 1/2 empty] & if it were once full and then emptied to the half way mark {which is subjective to interpretation & 'perspective' yet once again} would that necc. make it ... 1/2 empty?
