stork daddy Sam didn't like to contemplate his mother's life, but couldn't help it. he sat in class, tapping his pen against the desk with the erratic rhythm of a cat's tail's swish thump. He imagined her in school - painfully shy though not by choice as he imagined she imagined. then he saw her on graduation day - "we've only just begun" or some other song playing. He didn't even know what song it'd be - what era was she again? what was the world's prognosis then? She seemed so anonymous. He understood his father more and more and her less. What did she get out of staying around them? 040511
