is creating. one must integrate the first 4 signs well. usually leo can't see beyond himself without planets in the last half of the zodiac.
my leo sun is conjunct the Nadir, so i'm all about my own subjective feelings. i have planets in virgo and the sixth house which is an attempt to orient myself to others.

i have to revise this piece of idiocy.
leo has nothing to do with integrating the "first" four houses, unless you want it to. creating, sure, mostly being an autocrat of your own reality. leo's not acceptable to the (usually, democratic) culture at large.
{oh, and while it's still true that my Sun in Leo is at the Nadir, it's even more relevant that it's at the bendings of the Nodes and is thus, by and large, hushed by more pressing emotional circumstances. so i'm not actually having much success at directing the movie. but alas, my sun's not in any other sign, either. (unless you count the progressed Sun, which you could). and i have no planets in the 6th house. what a bunch a malarky that was. in other words, i'll never be a rock star, which a shame, and my 6th house work doesn't undergo some sort of super duper dissolution, although i sometimes wish it would.)

they have the shortest fuse; fire sign AND ruled by the sun. but while the fuse is short, the loyalty wears long.
my brother's horoscope said to think before he talked. i let him know. he scoffed and said his horoscope always says that. maybe cause it's a safe bet.
plus he's irish. even better reason to think before you fight.

i won't say that i'm don't have a short fuse, because Leo is a fire sign etc etc, and i'm irish too. but i will say that "thinking before you speak" is a safe bet for anybody, not just Leos. more recently, according to the cosmic weather (which is a mars stationing direct in Leo), the Leo energy may be a little more hard hit than usual. however, the question could be phrased: does it really take a Sun in Leo to be the type with the short fuse? do all Leos have one? see, you can use these generalizations to be kind of prejudiced about the way people are.
although, i will say that my Sun in Leo, when it's not too obscured, allows me to avoid depression that might be caused by being suppressedly angry. so someone without too much Leo might say something out of feeling depressed, and it might be born of the same anger that a Leo, or Aries, or more fiery type energy, is flaring up over. and it's all irrational and it should all be a little more thought out.
one of my problems is that my Sun in Leo often doesn't function (unlike, it's ruler, the actual Sun, unless you count those solar waves or something) so these suppressions and explosions do happen due to other factors, not that those are particularly mature or well-thought-out either. where is the well-thought-out archetype in the chart anyway? i guess, maybe, Venus??? for all practical purposes of living the life you're living, perhaps. or maybe just "fixed"-ness. which a Leo would fall under, which would make Leo's Leoness rather NOT spur-of-the-moment. rather, a well-thought-out and ruminated plan for world domination. well that's just a given.
my brother is a Leo as well as are my grandmothers. my little nephew Noah is also a Leo, like way more than I am, he has a Leo stellium in the 9th house, so as this kid grows up, i'm sure to know what Leo really means to him.

One of my Leo friends has one of those charts where the planets are evenly spaced across the chart, with no conjunctions. His fuse is excessively long, and it is difficult to get any kind of reaction out of him whatsoever.
Another friend, a Virgo, has Mercury, Mars, Ceres and either Jupiter or Saturn (can't remember) in Leo. Super short fuse, but in an entertaining way.
The friend I have with the most problematic short fuse is a Capricorn, but I don't know his other planetary placements.

hence the short fuse; if you've ever been around any goats you would know what i mean.
(i think the real key to leo is loyalty since leo = lion , astrology being a set of generalizations i find useful. i have found sun in leo boys, and to a lesser degree girls, some of the best friends of my life. probably the girls to a lesser degree, because throughout my life i haven't had many close girl friends. interestingly, there was a time in my life when i was swimming in leos. now, not so much.)

does capricorn == goat? does leo == lion? i simply take offense because these truly are the symbols i have to work with. last time i checked, capricorn was the seagoat, which is mythological. loyalty, in a dictionary sense has to do with committed relationship, which sounds like libra is getting mixed in. leo and libra form a (harmonious and friendly) sextile aspect, which is maybe why a libra would perceive leos as being mostly loyal. of course, i don't disagree, there are a lot of loyal and idealistic leos, associated bodily with the heart... and the upper back... Libra is the lower back. (the hips, site of your tattoo, are associated with Sagittarius, which is very interesting of you).
