Seems to be happening everywhere. $15/hour isn't enough even on full time hours really. Currently seeking new work and cannot afford to settle for $15/hour.
This hourly wage to scrape by shit isn't functional and I think more people are beginning to see the holes in the current system. It's not just the wages, it's the way we live, it's not realistic to live so independently of eachother. I enjoy privacy and space, a l o t, but do I really need a whole house and individually wrapped groceries? What if I just had my own room or small structure and a shared garden ect? We need new standards and ways of living. We need more than to clean up the system and planet, we need to heal it, as a teacher I have enormous respect for said recently. Beyond_repair, needs_healing. What am I doing? Not_enough. I need to do more. I need to learn more.
