I have been watching these lights for the last 3 weeks, trying to figure them out. They seemed to be some sort of indicator, the green light frequently flickering on, the white occasionally and the red almost never. What could they be telling me? Movement in the room behind the window next to the lights? Numbers of students enrolled in the university? Load on the campus networks? Today, finally, it is revealed. Or simply a warning system for the organisers concerts, rallies and other PAed events, alerting them when they are about to breech restrictions? It is most likely the latter - functional, pragmatic, boring. I think i will go back to imagining the other things it could be. Number of books in the library. A programmers frustration level. Incidence of writers block. Number of chicken sandwiches being consumed. Kissing density. Risk of terrorism. Risk of rain. Risk of lateness. Number of atheists on campus. ...
