Ouroboros
|
Once upon a time, a bird took off from its perch on the old pine tree in the forest. The bird rode with the wind out toward the ocean. The day was beautiful and everything was exactly as it should have been, and the bird relaxed into is dance in the sky. The sun beat down and warmed the bird's wings. The ocean below sparkled. The wind brought the bird down smoothly to kiss the water with the tip of its beak, before rising up again. The fish wiggled toward the light above. Light beams beckoning it away from the dark deep. The fish swam faster as it prepared to break the water's surface. For one moment, one single precious moment, the bird and the fish together in space. Bird preparing to fly high, fish ready to dive deep; together bound, crossing paths. They see each other. Their individual momentum becomes a riotous dance of kinetic freedom. They pass. The fish finishes its arch and plunges. The bird sweeps up and glides again in the wind. The sun shines light on them both.
