ok, for all you superstitious (ugh, i murdered that word) and witchy types, and all others who feel like they should comment: if there is a white garment hanging on the doorknob of a room that i enter, is that significant at all? i just touched this shirt that was hanging on a doorknob and got the distinct feeling that i should NOT go in

go with your gut if you don't have reason not to, go sit somewhere quiet and sunny, clear your thoughts. deep breaths, whatever your favorite mode of quiet meditation is.
then start looking around. menatlly. if you find anything, examine it, pick it up, turn it over, if it responds to you stay calm and ask it who it is, what it wants, what it is doing there. keeping yourself calm and slightly detached is important here--your own imagination is your worst enemy.
any thing that is in this realm, be it psychic experiences or ghosts or strange spirits, has power--but so do you. and you, being also meat, are much more difficult to harm. proceed with strength and calm caution, reason with whatever you find (even if its nothing), and if you start getting freaked go for a walk around the neighborhood. blend gravity and carlessness, and you've got the Hostess of the Apocalypse's favorite recipe for making reality Right.
