epitome of incomprehensibility Charles Ives makes me think of the cheesy Christmas song "Sleigh Bells" because of the line, "It'll nearly be like a picture print by Courier and Ives." Different Ives, but still. Then I get nostalgic for the U.S., though I've never even stayed anywhere there for more than two weeks at a time.

Alexander Borodin reminds me of The Lord of the Rings. Again, it's not really the music. I think his name just sounds like Boromir.

Dafremen here reminds me of Ezra Pound... although I don't think Daffy's about to start praising Benito Mussolini and go on about the mermaid carvings in some church in Venice. It's just the attitude and writing style, which is kind of a compliment. Or a complement.
