quotree When death comes
like the hungry bear in autumn;
when death comes and takes all the bright coins from his purse

to buy me, and snaps the purse shut;
when death comes
like the measles-pox;

when death comes
like an iceberg between the shoulder blades,

I want to step through the door full of curiosity, wondering:
what is it going to be like, that cottage of darkness?

And therefore I look upon everything
as a brotherhood and a sisterhood,
and I look upon time as no more than an idea,
and I consider eternity as another possibility,

and I think of each life as a flower, as common
as a field daisy, and as singular,

and each name a comfortable music in the mouth
tending as all music does, toward silence,

and each body a lion of courage, and something
precious to the earth.

When it's over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it is over, I don't want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.

I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.

Juniper as a ghost.

the man I left,
wants you.

The man I left,
is scarred.

The woman I found,
is scarred.

The travels I wandered,
are done.

The thoughts are percolating,
and responsive.

The man I left sacrificed everything to life, wife, strife and fife.

I wear a ring with a sliding scale of where the direction might ring.

Much love.

dafremen "The man I left sacrificed everything to life, wife, strife and fife."

Believe it or not, this is the origin of the "succubus" myth.

dafremen Let's see. I like solving problems and puzzles:

1. Evidence of the astrological phenomenon found in the world's largest peer-reviewed study, which claimed to DEBUNK that phenomenon. Check.

2. The solution to the "What does 666 mean" mystery absolutely and unequivocally SOLVED. Check.

3. Found the path to God and got to see heaven. Check. (But ran screaming like a little girl.)

4. Immigrated two little girls and their mother then took care of them for 18 years. Check.

5. Became a software engineer (then project manager) without a high school diploma or a degree. Check.

6. Helped a kid just like me, socially awkward, mildly autistic, and all alone..find his feet, his self esteem , the path to freedom and a life he can be proud of. Check.

7. Met my soul twin. Check.

8. Loved every incredible, miserable, rapturous, convoluted, confusing, lonely, loving moment of it. Check.

When death comes I'll fight it tooth and nail, with no regrets..and lose with only a few.
