There's this whole group of people looking for "assets." They don't want to work. They say, "Smart people collect & build assets. Dumb people work for a living."
Have you ever thought about what an asset is? It is someone else paying the bills. A landlord has a tenant paying his bills, a company has the customers paying its bills. So what an asset really is, is getting someone else to pay your bills.
It's pushing your work off onto other people. Someone SOMEWHERE will have to work to fill the gap. And that's probably why they're called ass-ets: little donkeys.
All of us, being made asses of, walking around somebody else's grindstone. That's how the rich see those of us who actually do the work to make the good things in society possibly: We're their little assettes.
