i just got the word that i got the apartment i am after, but the up-front is a little more than i anticipated because i got a better apartment than the one i put in for (more square feet, better floor plan, i didn't think i'd get it so i only budgeted for the little studio apartment...arrrgh...i need to figure something out so that i can actually swing this and not end up waiting another 3 to 5 weeks for the studio, although i could definitely pad my funds a little better if i hold off

passed on the apartment, but will put down some good-faith money for the next available opening and take out a small loan against my meager investment portfolio earnings to make the deal go down next month.
looks like i'll be living on ramen, PB&J and the occasional can of ravioli for a couple of weeks just to be sure

been in the apartment for just over two months now, got a deal on a studio unit just days after that last blathe and they allowed me to break up my deposit into four smaller payments, but the catch was that those four payments were rolled into my first 4 months rent, so every other paycheck is going almost entirely to the rent, so i've got to make 54 dollars plus the fragment that remains of the post-rent check last for another 22 days...
ahh, ramen.
