You know, we've all been burying our heads in the sand. Partying instead of paying attention, because its all too depressing some days.
But the Beastie Boys had it right. It's not enough to party, because eventually, one by one..magazine by magazine..cigarette by cigarette..hidden bottle of whatever by hidden bottle of..they will TAKE the party away and keep it for themselves if we don't FIGHT for OUR right to party.
But it's not enough to fight for OUR right to party. We have to fight for each OTHERS right to party too. If your mom takes away your best porno mag..that's my loss too.
See, I'm not into porn, but I am into beer..and today its Mom taking away your best porno mag, and tomorrow its Uncle Sam taking away my brewskis. And when that day comes, I'll need you to have my back too. Even if you don't drink. Because Mom's big, and Dad's a prick and Uncle Sam is a belligerent bully..especially when he's drunk (with power)..but there are more of us than them and they can't be everywhere at once.
Together, we CAN fight for our right to party. Together we can get your best porno mag back and drink beer like little Beasties. Amen
