the curtain rose, the play began, and i played my part again. everyone in costume, all pretending, in this story never ending. there was no script, no chosen form, except reality---the norm. no one knew the actors; the audience was hated. on stage, real things were never debated. but behind the curtain, people could dream--- and wonder if things should be as they seem. |
