I'm not sure why Bob did this...no wait, I'm quite sure I understand why. It is a consequence of my actions, one of many that I am and have always been prepared to accept. I have NEVER posted anonynmously or under anyone else's name(except as flippo and then only to bump things to the top or fix threads.) I never will post anonymously or use another's name. Ever.
In the online world that I have been a part of for 25 years now, using another's name is the cardinal sin, the ultimate misdeed. It is something to which I would never stoop, not even in the name of social experimentation, or as some would like to believe is my motive, in the name of attention getting. I have always done what I have done in full daylight, using my own alias, the same alias that has served me well all of these 25 years (I've never changed it.) I will not change that and any rumors claiming that I am someone else are false.
My email address has always been a part of my blathers. There is a reason for that. It is a channel of communication whereby anyone who is offended, touched, annoyed or otherwise affected by the things that I write can always touch or smack me directly with the consequences of my actions. That has not and will not change. The imposters are just that, imposters. The anonymous folks are just that, anonymous voices who are afraid to let their normal online reputation take the brunt of their actions and their words.
Let me repeat that no matter how often I may have confused or pissed you off, I will always be willing to accept the consequences for my actions. Always. The imposters and anonymous detractors will have to speak for themselves, I am in no position to speak for them...just for me.

I emailed him yesterday for a little advice, said he's been reading but still not blathing. he said he didn't have much advice or at least nothing he ever managed to follow himself and told me not to make the kind of bad decisions he made when he was my age.
