Go ahead. Find some comedy that isn't mean-spirited any more. It's out there, but its few and far between. Insult and shock humor. Is that all that remains save for the occasional Dimitri Martin or Steven Wright? A clever comeback is funny..just not FOREVER. Our television sets blare out Spiderman one-liners and snide backhanded comments from one side of the country to the other, dusk til dawn til dusk, from sea to sickened sea. THIS is what mass media has done to us. THIS is what social engineering and public education have done to us. THIS is what sticking a people's head so far up it's own ass that it comes out it's own mouth will do for you. Solution? Find something worthwhile, creative AND funny to do with our intellects. If we're so damned smart and clever..we should try that for a change. If we can't..guess all the brains in the world can't save a person from self-inflicted retardation.
