if the media doesn't influence our actions and decisions; why do advertisers spend hundreds-of-billions of dollars (internationally) each year? would they really spend that much if advertising didn't influence us? and if the advertising does influence us, how does the rest of [television, for example] not? i mean, lets get real: advertising is designed with the bottom line in mind; if it had no influence it would equate to money wasted now lets get unreal: is most of the media and advertising is designed to help us self-actualize?!? |
