andru235 a full abilitied person and a severely physically and mentally handicapped person have fallen in love. they plan on marrying.

skepticism aside, from all appearance both parties are ready, willing and able. from a third party standpoint, their love seems as pure as that of aphrodite's herself.

in lieu of the differences between the two lovers (they say opposites attract), one party will be making most of the decisions and supporting the household. it is possible that the other party will not exhibit a traditional marital role.

should this marriage be allowed? would this marriage be allowed? could this marriage be allowed?

will the state provide the same financial assistance that it would to a couple who are both disabled, or to a couple for whom one party later becomes disabled, or will it provide no overt assistance?

to those who oppose the idea of this sort of thing, what is the justification for imposing love-restrictions upon other humans?

who dares to arbitrate such matters?

[no, i didn't really try and hide my own feelings about the matter]
