With lasers, they burnt away the tissue of my cornea, erasing 2.5 optons of astygmatism and nearsightedness within a mere few minutes. Upon completion of my PRK surgery, my vision was nearly 20/20. Apparently, my left eye was a bit overcorrected, but even so, I feel like a walking miracle. To not have to mess with contacts or glasses, to see the alarm clock upon waking, to be able to sleep over at a girl's house without worrying about contact solution... these are miracles.
