I do lack faith, and I am sure that, as hard as I try, I am still full of fiction.
There are so many factors influencing our perception of reality- where we've been, what we've been told (directly or subliminally)... everything that leads to our conscious and subconscious beliefs.
Meditation has certainly led me closer to a direct experience of reality, but for the most part, I still have a head full of delusions. I still think that there is a "me" that is separate from the rest of the world.

This strikes me as a passive-aggressive attack on something many people feel is of value. I seem to recall someone else having already wrangled with z over his presumptuous attitude on the matter, so I shall not bother with a repeat of what was already obnoxiously self-righteous the first time around.

( why is it that there can be hundreds of pages of blathes of unflinching affirmation of belief in the spiritual (which is inherently a contradiction of a world view based on naturalistic observation) and no one objects, but when i affirm the principles of an opposing point of view on a page that i started, i am colored obnoxious, self-righteous and passive aggressive. tolerance goes both ways.
your certainty is as offensive to me as mine is to you, if each of us allows the other's to diminish our resolve. my self expression is as important to me as yours is to you. i am not looking for a fight, but i do learn a lot from argument (in the formal sense). disagreement does not diminish anyone in a pleural society, or at least it ought not. are you asking me to not express my world view simply because it offends you? how dare you. )

you do have a rather narrow definition of faith if you only see it pertaining to spirituality, and also some people take those same naturalistic observations and conclude differently so there's no inherency about it, but hey, whatever floats your boat man
