sometimes it chokes me I can see their desperate desire to be right, to win what are you suppose to do let them win because you can see their weakness, and forever be the sap or do you strike where you see the easiest vulnerability? and put an end to the competition, the friendship? |

The "desperate desire to win" is a character flaw and is not your problem (unless you are the parent of the individual, in which case it is your responsibility to demonstrate proper behavior.) I am currently teaching this to my six year old; it's a tough one for him to grasp. But it must be learned; there's almost nothing worse than a sore looser, the possible exception being an arrogant winner. Conveniently, the two usually accompany each other. was here |
