Ouroboros They did it. Signed the papers. Children, elderly, poor, incarcerated, abused, hungry- their programs cut to close the budget. Hey- why not raise taxes or tax tobacco more or make marijuana legal? Oh, because the governor is friends with the tobacco companies? OK- so instead let's cut meals for poor children, let's close 100 state parks, let's cut rehabilitation programs in jails. Let's screw over all those who rely on the state . 090729

unhinged that's generally what republicans do; refuse to raise taxes and then cut the state programs that people depend on to make their lives bareable.

(although the democratic governor of wisconsin just vetoed a .5 cent sales tax increase in milwaukee county to have dedicated funding for the buses because he wants to create some bullshit regional transit authority to get stimulus funds for a lightrail system that no one will use because there will be no other public transportation to get them to their final destination after they get off the light rail. the level of greed that is acceptable in most levels of government boggles me sometimes) 		090729
