My son David (he´s 8) had a dream and an idea for a song. He was very specific about what message it should convey and what imagery it need to contain. He asked for some help writing the song. Here is what we came up with: Blue Waves(Cookie In My Pocket) by David ¨Zmo¨ It was a day So sad and blue I had a cookie in pocket that I wanted to share with you When you came home And walked through the door Though you looked the same I knew it wasn't you anymore The monster in you That walked through the door Reached to try and hurt me though I didn't know exactly what for And so I turned To run away I couldn't get anywhere and so instead I started to change Into blue waves I can be waves Rushing and rushing Crashing and washing away Today I'm not afraid When the monsters try to hurt me The only thing they'll find are blue waves When I woke up I took a good look around When I saw your face, I smiled because you know what I found? Behind your eyes Was the person I knew And in my pocket was a cookie And I think I'd like to share it with you. Blue waves I can be waves Rushing and rushing Crashing and washing away Today I'm not afraid Because I know you love me And because I've seen that I can be waves.
