I blink and the world subtly shifts each time. And I can never tell whats the same, and whats different. Its like a minor twist. Is it the colour of the sun? Just a little more red today? But I can't go back and check. Each time I blink, I'm a little further from home. Until finally, one day, I'll no longer recognise even my own reflection- the ways mirrors work, or the way I look - one or both will have changed. But how can I go back and check? |
