Sometimes I'll be listening to someone and suddenly find that they are laughing, or staring at me in shock/indignation/surprise, or replying. I hear nothing, and have no intention to speak, but I have clearly spoken. I have dubbed this shadow voice living in my head Blaine, for no good reason. I wonder if Blaine blathers while I sleep. |
