we heard from president bush. we heard from tony blair. we heard from the israel and palestinian prime minsters. we even saw pictures of the taliban leaders. we heard from kofi annan. we heard from the german and french prime minsters.
the world leaders that needed to be talked to were listed. america, england, russia, germany and the e.u.
john howard was in washington at the time. he was even supposed to be giving a presentation at the wto building during the day. australian news did mention that he has been spirited away to a bunker underneath the australian embassy.
but no-one in the entire world bar the abc newsreader has even mentioned him.
at least today has confirmed that austraila is not a real world power, no matter what howard might try to tell us in his wobbly school boy voice. he tries to pretend that austraila is america’s best friend, but really he’s like a little puppy bouncing excited around the ankles of a big, indulgent grizzly bear.
