whatever happened to our initials carved into the old oak tree? someone cratched them to pieces just after you left i dont know why i still call you whenever i get lonely whenever soft raining gets to me it doesnt mean to you what it does to me and you almost seem an intruder to what we used to have but i have this memory i keep in efogy i burn it like a candle every time it softly rains i remember red leaves falling off an aging oak. you pulled out your pocket knife wrote two letters above two others AK+SL You carved a heart around it and told me this was forever i remember rain drops gently peltin my head from above as you pulled me close enough to feel your breath i pressed my mouth to yorus and said that THIS was forever. i decided to stop writing you letters bceause you would only send them back. But i'll always associate you with soft rains. |
