i saw 8-1/2 Women the other day frutrating film i wondered how much irony there was to the father and son character's assessments of Fellini's sexual proclivities as expressed through his film making was the dialogue written with tongue firmly in cheek knowing that the same could be said for Greenaway's films, or was it wriiten for it's own sake to be taken at face value? i usually like Greenaway's work, but three quarters of the way through this, i could not decide whether i was bored or irritated with this movie |
