I want to put you down on paper, Your personality in words, lines, and phrases. I want your essence in twenty lines or less, And then I would never miss you. Reading my poem would be like coming to see you, That one phrase there would be like making you smile, If I listened closely I could hear your voice teasing me, And the font would show off your funky sense of style. You as a poem could never hurt me, I would only write the part that makes me feel so right, You would never walk away, Forget me, Call her name, Forever you would be the same, and never out of my sight. If you were a poem you would be, Everything needed to sustain me. A loving face, an electric touch, This beautiful boy who talks too much. I’d take the way you make me feel- Like the cool spring dawn with sparkling dew, I’d put that into one stunning expression, And somehow I could forget losing the real you. I want to put you down on paper, Your personality in words, lines and phrases, I want your essence in twenty lines or less, And then I would never miss you.

Somewhere there's a smile, hiding underneath that surity and steadiness. Rough hands and strong arms, Pooky to my Nermal. Knowing and sensible, my strength and reason. You know me... truly, though you would not admit And I love you wholly Always. Little bugs never let go.

Hug me, kiss me, love me, tell me I'm worth more than what I am Just a collection of pieces and parts And neurotic tendancies Balled up inside this skin And set loose on the world. Don't get me wrong, I'm independent Not codependent But sometimes I need to be mended And reminded, not validated, That while no man is an island He does tend to be his own worst critic So hug me, squeeze me, love me, Send me on my way to be what I can I'll go far, be a star And I'll never forget To do the same for you.
